Hey guys can any1 tell me how 2 find out which 16valve engine i have weather its the KR or PL ect????

PL is USA only I think, KR is more than likely what you have :)

PL is cat equipped 1.8 16v, was available in europe.  Even some in the UK, but rare as the cat was an expensive option plus it made the car slower :grin:

Only difference is the engine managment and the inlet cam, plus they normally got the 42mm inlet (but so did the KR in some years so its not a sure way of telling)  Best way is to check the engine code if you can, its stamped on the flat area on the top of the block (and below the head) between pistons 3&4.  If you have the log book that will also tell you, or if you know if the donor car had a cat or not :)
