Title: 1.8T Exhaust System......

im after having a custom sleek exhaust made and was wondering what other people thought about the golfs system...... does anyone else think there is room on the drivers side for another backbox at the rear? i want a dual exit.....

im thinking its possible.... has anyone got a dual exit?

yeh kind of..... has the R32 pipes got 2 back boxes or is it one?

the company that that can do it for peanuts want to do it with 2 back boxes, but they are unsure it will fit 2..

fairly sure its two but that system wont fit the standard 1.8T unless you modify the spare wheel well!!

I know Milltek do an R32 system for 1.8T's

 was thinking of miltek, but i dont have that much money! lol!

ill pop in the garage an jack it up to see if i can fit another....

rite there is defo now ay on this planet, that i got a chance of fitting a twin pipe on it!!

lol! didndt no the wheel well was so bit! so its defo stick wiv a single back box!

will go have a look shopping this afternoon! lol!

the R32 is a single transverse backbox, with a shallower wheel well than the GTI so it all fits in nicely.

iv got dual exit on my 1.8t , only one back box , got it done at exhaust uk in sheffield sports cat back ,had it done about 8 months ago n know complaints

really? i live in chesterfield show sheffield is only down the way! how much they charge you and what does it sound like?

including sports cat back cost me about £650, referance sound on tick over hardly hear it but when using as a 1.8t should be used, 1 of my jap driving mates referred it too sounding like a plane taking off, but they give me the choice of sound quiet, medium or loud, i went for medium. the phone number for exhaust u.k is 0114 2447123, give them a ring there very helpful

that is way cool man but way outa my price range!! lol!

i used to have a scorpion on my renault 5 turbo and i really liked it, but that exhaust isnt available anymore!  :angry:

i would still give exhaust uk a ring mate,my mate got a back box fitted on her arosa under 200

Only just seen this but I had a peco backbox on my car when it was a 1.4 and I was really surprised at how meaty it sounded, not a sh!t note either, actually sounded really nice. I sold it to my mate for £15 a few months ago  :undecided:
