What a nightmare i had on NYE was on the way home to get ready and my car decided blow out a big cloud of black smoke an lose all power, thought i had blown the turbo !
Turns out that the bottom turbo hose has split any idea's how much one of these costs ??
THANKS

i had to change the final inter cooler elbow on mine.
if you've got a 150 (which looking at your signature you have) then its probably the same piece, that cost me ~£20

yes it is a 150 ..hopefully thats all it will cost .. got a mechanic i know doing it who works at VW ..but doing it off the books so just wanted a rough idea of what he was likely to pay for the part

Result in the end the hose cost me £30 and my friend charged me £10 to fit it ..

cool!
was it the one effectively behind the passenger side grill on the bumper?

Yes it was the bottom small hose ..have had to take it back again as the hose wasn't sealing properly and lost all power again yesterday, put the hose back in and it was fine again so looks like it needs a stronger clip holding it on !

the clips on that peice or different sizes, i had the same problem with mine, a garage got them the wrong way round, the bigger of the two will hold either end, but the smaller will only hold one end if you know what i mean.
IIRC the larger one goes on the drivers size (furthest away from the intercooler if you follow the pipe)

All sorted now he put a better clip on it ..all good as i am trading it in hopefully this week all things going well !!
Time for to go Petrol again ..lovely MK4 R32
