alright i have a mk2 gti 1.8 8v on a d reg what it is on the mph on my clocks, the needle went  right the way round, an now it"s on 140mph but when i rev"S it move back a bit is there any way i can fix them o i  an they have two plugs on the back of the clocks....

Sounds like they need straight replacing, or it might be a fuse come or relay? Check out all the options.
