Title: Exhaust sysyem??
Post by: wayders on 01 January 2008, 17:32
Could anyone recommend the best exhaust set up 4 my mk1 1.8 gti, i'm now on my second Jetex set up as they dont last much longer then just outside the warranty time lol.. Thinking of going for a stainless set up, any suggestions and comments would be welcomed plz. Keep up the good work guys!

What downpipe have you got, 4 to 2 to 1 or 4 to 1, sounds like you got a pressure problem or you just use it alot!!!

The jetex system's aluminised steel so dont really last anyway!

I had a Powerflow on my old cab and didn't have any problems with it but it all depends on the welder doing it as to if it's a good job or not. You're in Norfolk so it might be a bit of a treck, but I'd recommend these guys in Sheffield. Look past the chavvy exhaust pics in the gallery and they do knock out some decent systems with a good choice of sensible tailpipes.

I've had a Scorpian Stainless backbox on my golf for 10 years and when under my car at the weekend it was still good as new!
