Hi Guys
Recently purchased a Mk4 Golf TDI, really needed to save on the amount of money I was paying out on fuel as I am about to buy a house with the girlfriend. (Scary)
So... I managed to find a decent Mk4 TDI 3 door golf with Full Black leather interior (spec said Recaro, not 100% sure though) and its a 6 speed. Didn't like the standard look of the TDI so decided to buy some Anniversary alloys for the car, these are now fitted but it now looks a bit like a tractor. The suspension is slightly knocky (think the top mounts must be breaking down) so don't mind changing the setup, just not sure what to change it to? Any ideas??

Any thoughts or advice would be appreicated..
Cheers

Get some coilovers

Cheap Springs here, Eibach ones I just bought myself some and he accepted a Best offer of £89.99. If you are after some these are good, he also has springs for other cars too. ]http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=310009748061&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT&ih=021 (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=310009748061&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT&ih=021[url)

LOL.... I've had coilovers on a Mk2 Golf before and they were very harsh.. I know a sport lowering spring is going to be a firmer ride but i'm using this as a daily runner and doing a few miles so it still needs to be acceptable for daily use.
I think i need a set of springs and dampers, might as well do it all at once. Those ebay springs are cheap hey!
I was thinking 35-40 mm.. How low are a standard Anniversary compared to a TDI, anyone know?

i think the standard anni's are 25mm lower than normal golfs ....... not 100 % though

Yeah i think your right, i'm sure i have read that somewhere.. but is that 25mm lower than a standard GTI? or the standard suspension. I recon i should be able to get away with 40 mm on the rear and 35 on the front.

IIRC Anni came with -30mm springs made by Eibach as standard! -30mm From a standard GTI.
