Title: First post (and suprise suprise its a question)
Post by: Honky on 28 December 2007, 16:42
Just joined as this looks quite a good forum so here goes!! oh and sorry about the questions from the start but I think this one might be quite simple.....

Below are pics of the wiring that runs from the Thermotime switch and 5th Injector/cold start. But where does it go?? I can't see anywhere on the board that that style of connector could clip into nor do I see any "female" version of that connector to join it into?? BTW its an 83 Golf GTI
I put a live feed onto one of them to test and my 5th injector worked so it must be just some kinda live loop it needs? Help!!!!

Don't know if this helps but it mentions it might be of some use to late MK1s too.

yeah it kinda has, thanks!  Very useful to have anyway.

It lists the red/black out of C18 as being for: thermo switch for cold start valve (K-Jet f/inj) however this is only one wire and I've got 2 spades in the connector so I might be halfway there!

Cheers

Just nipped out to look at this and yes I have a red/black wire coming from C18 thats free and would fit, could it just be one of brown earth connections for the other spade then?

there should be a matching plug somewhere, is that the engine or fusebox side of the loom?  I'll have a look at my cabby later on and see if i can spot it
