Title: sub not working

I have a 12" that was in my golf did not have it up to high and just stop working nothing no sign of anything wrong.
any way of getting it to work or is it bin job.

fuse in power line??
earth problem??

yeah amp works fine, tested with 6 x 9's worked ok.

Possibly a broken connection between box terminals and sub terminals. Failing that maybe toasted voice coils.

wip the sub out the box and connect it direct to the amp using some spare cable. if it works then connectivity is your problem. Toasted voice coils means the death of a sub unfortunatly.

if your gains on the amp are set ok and not clipping; and as you say you werent thrashing it at the time chances are its not the coils.

open up ur box and see if anythings come off or loose inside....
i assume ur 6x9s worked ok??

dodgy connection, broken tinsel lead or blown coils.

so check connections

push the sub in with your hand to see if it moves freely and listen/feel for scraping noises
