Since the days have got cold my mk2 8v (digi) has been lumpy as hell from start for a few minutes, I'm thinking it's probably the blue temp sender. Before I go and spend more money I don't have on one can anyone tell me if this is likely to be the cause?

might be the ISV, or maybe due to the cold nights, damp getting into ignition components maybe. a quick way i think you can test the blue sender is when its running lumpy disconnect it. if its the same then id guess its the sender, if it gets worse then id say its doing its job.
i changed mine a few months ago, and im sure it was only a few quid, genuine from the dealers.
