Title: 1990 Golf In door speakers

Hi all,

I have a 1990, 8v GTi 5-door, i thought these were meant to have speakers in the doors instead of the little compartments, but mine has the latter.
I am being stupid or is this wrong? Were they an optional extra or something?

I know mines not a gti but its a 1990 and ive got the compartments :sad: think it was only some models or as u said an extra.

Hey that compartment hides my ciggies from the missus, it's a great little hiding spot!  :grin:

haha i dont smoke but guess thats a good place! ive got loads of change in one of mine incase i get hungry :grin:

I got worried when i looked at trying to wire the damn things in! got 4 pioneer 5.25" speakers on my floor that would go nicely in the front and back but dont want to cut the rear door cards or try and wire them into the front doors :embarassed:
