Title: Radiator question?
Post by: forzanerazzurri on 21 March 2004, 23:41
I believe i have a problem,  there is a pipe on the top of my radiator that hasd sort of a valve to let air out?   well that pipe i have noticed it cracked right where it goes into the radiator,  what is this and what will happen if ikeep driving, and how can i fix it??  if someone could post a pic of the engine bay i can point it out?

Eh? Now I'm confused ???

8v k-jet, no isv
8v digi, has isv
16v k-jet, has isv

Yours appears to fall into some other option ???

Need a pic to help you. Tried looking for one last night to post for you to show us.
If its at the top of the radiator but isn't leaking coolant then probably nothing to worry about.
I'll have another look for a pic.

'6, I've never seen or heard an 8v k-jet fitted with an isv. Are you sure? And if so, what year did they do that?

They do look like air con pipes don't they.
Certainly don't recognise them as coolant pipes...........

i figured it wasnt a coolant pipe as it has a valve in it for letting air out,  but it goes into the end of the radiator  and it has just snapped for no perticular reason.  i havew no idea what it does or if i can fix it as it looks like the pipe and the rad are the same piece??
