Title: Front Panel fitting

right picked up a new front panel from ecp yest to replace my skank jetta front end  :smiley:

just wondering if anyone could explain how to remove the old one and fit the new one!

and what order to do things in!

its pretty easy mate, first thing to do is take off the grill, two screws iirc then there is four 10mm screw bolts at each side, two in the top (into the wing) and two underneath the light (into the chassis leg) and the two bolts holding on the radiator (one on the left is a pain to get through the small gap with the rubber on) oh and the horn is connected to it aswell iirc easier to just unplug it and remove when off the car, and as haynes would say refitting is reverse of removal

realy easy replacment mate wots wrong with the jetta front looks mint on a square car :sad:
dont forget if u changa zaust its a 8v gti 1

Have to say i prefer round ones. Cant decide between the 4 light or if i should buy a 2 light debadged atm :undecided:

my new gti has twin and i like that caus its a proper gti and it should stay lol :rolleyes:

for a new front panel from eurocarparts is £72.45 genuine (803440020) :shocked: or £13.65 for non genuine (803440021)

aha loving the difference there :laugh: my radiator was £45 instead of £90 for a genuine one and i thought that was good!

Vee W Services in Bristol = £35 for a Golf2 GTI radiator - now that's proper cheap.

front panel was 20 quid inc vat!
the jetta lights look nice but iv got a mesh grille and some crystal clear golf lights coming!!
haha mate your gti looks so good with the twin head lights!
gonna look gawjus when its finished!!

The jetta front is naff on a golf, if you want a jetta looking car buy a jetta  :tongue:
