looking at an 02 reg gt tdi 130, silver, 5 door, 1 owner, 58,000 miles, f.s.h
its in a garage for £7,000, what do you guys think?
-
Probably not steep at garage prices and the milage is low. You can get them cheaper tho
-
i got the gti-t it had done 51,000 on a 02 plate and i paid £7,200 so yours being the diesil as well
i would always use a rule of thumb and say you will always pay about a £1000 more for it ata garage any way,

I recently sold my 3 door GT TDI 150 with 49k miles full history and imaculate for £7500 .......private sale with a set of nakerd tyres
-
don't forget cam belt and tensioner needs changing at 60K.
-
yes thats way too much. although diesels are generally more pricey that is too much for that year.
I'm looking at buying one now and i'm looking at 2001-2003 models and they are between £3,000- 4,000.
unless of course its got incredibly low mileage which is unusual for these cars.

i'm with you on that i've seen some high millage examples fetching 5.5k but i've seen nothing for 3K.

7k sounds a good price. i got my gti a year ago on an 51 plate and payed 6500.
the only golf ya gonna get for 3-4k is the 1.6 in a dodgy garage
