After Ordering My Golf Gt Sport In July.. I Finnaly Got It last Week... Well 2 Weeks Ago Rlly... It Just Went Straight To Spain To Have The Bodykit, Rims, Tints and Exhaust Pipes Fitted.  :grin:

I Was Wondering If I Could Watch Dvds On The VW Sat Nav... And What Is The AUX Button For??

dont think you can watch dvd's.
Aux is for adding other devices such as tv card, dvd player etc

you can if you have the new RNS 510 touchscreen, but not when the car is moving.

I paid £1100 two months ago from Ebay in germany.

RNS 510 is no doubt a big leap forward for VW and great if you want to keep the OEM look, but there are better aftermarket units out there for less (and no doubt more :grin:)

I agree, but most of the aftermarket units are easily identified by thieves and removed from the vehicle easily, as they are double DIN they pretty much just slide in and out, please correct me if this isn't the case.  The OEM unit doesn't stick out like a sore thumb, is very hard to remove from the vehicle quickly and would be difficult to sell on unless you really knew what you doing in order to re-code it.

This RNS 510 really is good and the maps are now 3D, a huge improvement on the old MFD2 and there is now TMC support, its very easy to use and has a very clear layout and the hard disc is brilliant.   :smiley:

Dj Kolia of ebay has said he is getting some 510's in January and will be selling them at £950.
Still to darn expensive for me  :cry:

Yes, but still almost half the price of the stealers factory option fit.

Connect2 will do a cable. HAven't got time to check their site for the model number though.
