Sexy sexy wheels in the flesh. 18x8.5. When the tyre fitter comes I'm gonna have the rears stretched. I have one in the lounge so I can stroke it every now and again.

Yes they are replicas, but I do have a set of genuine CH's, and at the price I just couldn't pass these up. The finish is perfect and they weigh 8kg each. My CH's weigh the same but then they are 19's. One piece obviously but I really can't fault them. Gonna have them treated so they stay shiny and put them on for xmas.

Might be just a problem with me but i cant seem to see the pics :(

I'll see what they look like and wind the coilovers down if they look small. I reckon stretching the tyres will help with that too.
-
Look good to me
8kg isn't too bad either

Going for the euro look??

Going for the euro look??
Yeah, for my Mk5 and Mk1. Although for that I have found a company who can custom make me a set of 7" wide Beetle Steels. That will be dropped really low and wide. Mk5 won't be so dramatic but should still look pretty tough.
-
Now i can see the pics and must say they look nice...how much did they cost u
-
£532, inc postage from the U.S

wheels looks good, got any updated pics with your new set of wheels? interested to see how it looks in the flesh...

Not yet, still waiting for the correct bolts from BBS. Hopefully they will be here next week and I'll get them on. Been working on my Mk1 today so the Mk5 has been neglected a bit.
-
I noticed you ordered the wheels with an offset of 35mm, the MK5 has an offset of 51MM.
Will that cause any problems?
-
45 offset. I was concerned about that too, but I checked it out and the mk5 can safely take anything from 42 to 51
-
I used 45 offset in 18inch on my last Gti with no issues at all. Looking fwd to some pics of them wheels komenda
-
Half day tomorrow so taking them to get wrapped in some boots, and the bolts should arrive. All going well pics should be done tomorrow.
-
PICS PICS PICS !!! ? !"£$%!"£
-
Haha, gonna have to wait one more day I'm afraid. They only had 2 tyres that I wanted in stock so ordered the others for tomorrow.
-

Very very nice...cant tell the difference from originals to replicas :) nice one
-
Lovely pics. That GTI is coming on a treat Komenda
Those alloys are virtually indestinguishable from the LM's too
-
Cheers guys
Yeah it's looking quite tidy now. The detailing kit is on standby for the summer and I have few subtle carbon fibre touches to finish it off.
-
yea that looks smart   cant wait to get mine on my car, just saving up for some decent tyers for em!!
komendra has your car been lowered? if it hasnt then i think it would look really smart 20-30mm lower and would make the wheels look bigger as the arches would be more full. also are you planning on putting some deeper sideskirts on it as the front looks a tad too heavy compared to the rest. looks like a minter thow!!!
-
Cheers dude
Yeah its at standard ride height at the mo. Going to experiment with the coilovers but it will be a max of 15mm probably. That splitter has an annoying habit of catching speed humps. I'm happy with the look, the pics show up the difference in the size of the side skirts and the splitter but in the metal it doesn't really notice. I reckon taking the ride height will cure that aswell.

That looks the f**king NUTS !

nice.. looks great..
