I love this site since someone posted a link to it a while back. Now as I occasionally check back every now and then I come across a possible match for the Gti. I must say I have a little soft spot for mitsiees since my all night rave days  :smug:

it will be a real sports car with pretty low quality interior... like always.
-
It will almost certainly come alongside a 4,500 mile sevice schedule.....just like always
-
And if driven the way it should be will munch through tyres every 3000 miles lik always!!!!!

I'd go for Nissan GT-R. Testers said it has quality interior.
-
Love it. I hope the new VW Iroc comes out as aggresive as the concept and doesn't get watered down. I can see my Ed30 go to the dealers if they bring out a nice 3.2 one.

For me, E30 hit the spot, after it I move to another brand, unless VW brings out something extraordinary, but Scirocco does not cut it either designwise or motorwise..

Iv got to say that does look the nuts !

thats what i thought. Probably not enough to temp you away from the entire golf package... but u got to stop and drool everytime one goes past you. Just simply because your wishing you could give it a good run for its money on the track..

I saw a new Lancer here in Zurich just the other day. It looked really nice (from the outside)!
No wonder there is a HUGE queue for these cars in Russia....
-
The new Evo has a completly new interior and is of a much higher standard and new Evo is under £40,000 and the Nissan GT-R is gonna be about £60,000 so yeah id rather have a GT-R too it's like saying would you rather have a full spec Porsche Cayman S or a Cayman with nowt on ??? errr.......
-
The new Evo X is NOT going to cost £40,000 , where did you get that from?
-
New Evo will go round corners faster than most cars on the road. esp in the wet.
Only thing that might come close is a Prodrive Coupe, or a Prodrive fettled Imprezza.
-
Yep £37,000 for the 400 Bhp specials editions they are gonna be doin and thats straight from a mate who works @ Ralliart Uk

I think they are a bit ott.. but each to their own i guess. Problem is... where you going to drive the thing?? First gear fun gets a little boring after a while. I just couldnt live with that much power and nowhere to use it. Very hard to keep your licence if your using it as an veryday car.

The the worst (and lamest) excuse I have ever heard for not wanting one !

I would just go for the M5 instead... and point to all the extra stuff i can get in the back
-
New M5 for £40,000 ??? lol
I do agree tho.

Was comparing against the GT-R i believe they both come in at around the 60k mark
-
Hummmmm M5 or GT-R thats a tough one !
Being the impatient prick that I am id get an M5 just so I have can have it now.
There I go wondering off into dreamland, again

Mitsu had financial problems getting this car made, I read that.

If the new GT-R has got a boot like the old ones you won't have much more room at all, the boot was huge in my dads R32.
I'd go for the GT-R and be the one pulling away from you when the rain starts to fall

But no room for the mutt in the back... esp if you go for the estate. Dont jump on the GT-R band wagon just yet!! There are some pretty crazy tuning houses like hamman motorsport that will retune anything that comes out of the BMW factory.
-
"GT-R band wagon" ??? Like i said my dad had a 400+ Bhp R33 and i've driven 2 R34's
"There are some pretty crazy tuning houses like hamman motorsport that will retune anything that comes out of the BMW factory." yeah or Nismo, Tommy Kiara, Sumo Power, Blitz, Stillen and Top Secret for the GT-R

Dude if you like it that much just go buy one! I never said anything about the GT-R tuners. Simply commenting on the car I would buy.
The difference is that the makers of the GT-R have made this car for nothing but speed, and practicality never really enters the race. The BMW is made for both the speed freaks and the suits out there, and at some point you have to satsify both. I dont have any doubt that GT-R will be the most focused car but does it tick all the boxes.... simply NO. So whats the harm in someone out there making it more speed focsued??? nothing... thats the point i was making.

you must be joking surely. WHAT bandwagon? Skylines are totally exclusive! And so will be GT-R.
About Hamann etc., yeah, first buy a real beemer and then go tune it - for that money you can buy two GT-Rs most likely!
-
I wouldnt want 2! Well actually if we are talking about killing 2 birds with one stone.. then yes maybe!
Anyway this is a golf forum.. so all this is hypothetically speaking. So in that case budget doesnt really come into it.
