Title: NEW ENGINE

unfortunately my 89 1.8 16v engine has gone bang so im looking to replace it but not shore what fits in, any suggestion

the same or you could try an uprated one ie
cam gasflowed........try alook on

to see what bhp you can get.......

tsr do there 1.9 16v short engine with tsr A pack head diy fitted ?2200 that in exchange!
there 1.9 16v short engine is ?850

t the end of the day its all down to money........
a vr6 engine can go in there but its alot of money and hassle wiring looms uprated parts gearboxes etc..........

you could just get a reconditioned unit in there
it all depends of your budget!

Try a 9A short block (2.0L) with a KR (1.8) head  :)

will an audi 80 fit strait in i think it's a 2.0l 16v and use my box or will i have to change anything

I think the audi one is the 6A, you gotta change the sump and the oil pump as its made to go in the car length ways rather than transverse like the golf

do i have to change the engine mounts and what about the wiring loom? is everything on the 1.8, the same on the 2.0l just a bigger head. what about the ignition?

if you want to keep it standard kniteriders got a 16v engine for sale i think he wants 75pounds for it
