Title: Stereo Removal?

Hey, hope someone can help me

im looking to change my headunit that came in the car, however i cant see how to get it out and dont want to damage the dash. Its a Panasonic D80 looks like the original one? Can anybody giv me a clue?

have you got a pic of it?  there should be a small hole on each side of the unit. if you dont have the propper tool you can slide a small flat bladed screwdriver into each hole then the head unit can be pulled out. thats the standard way but if its an old unit i dont know if they were held in differently. just done a quick google of panasonic d80 and no clues there

sounds funny but get a butter knife and run around the outside edges of headunit,this should flatten the tabs down releasing the headunit

This can be a bit of a pig to get out - It was for me! The butter knife is a good idea. Don't be worried if you bend the cage thing either. As long as nothing snaps :)
