Title: Heater fan??

My heater fan seems to have packed up and now works now and again but after a while packs up with a knocking whinin noise, do i need a new fan, or motor or wot??

mine was temperamental when the switch behind the dial was breaking down?! bad connection mine was!

i also replaced the whole unit eventually... :) easy enough.. although i couldn't tell you how to fit it as i had a garage do it as i couldn't figure it. we took the old one out of a dismantled car we were stripping!!

I had this, open the bonnet and take the plastic scuttle tray off.  Under hewre you'll see the top of the blower motor covered with a mesh grill.  Take the mesh grill off, and set the blower to high, spray WD40 at the bearings till the squeely noise stops :)

Mine had totally siezed solid, but after lots of pushing, prodding and spraying it runs great and is nice n quiet  :cool:

my basket is half knacered.. and covered in overspray!

look like a crummy chip basket you get in greasy diners!!
