Title: Injectors
Post by: Mk2Kezza on 15 December 2007, 14:55
Have recently changed my engine, PB digifant to a DX scala injection engine from a Sirocco and i've noticed that the acceleration is not quite as sharp. Pulls ok, but it kind of feels like its flooding at little :undecided:. The delivery is sometimes spot on and others a bit retarded. Its not the clutch slipping as the revs aren't bouncing out of synch with the acceleration.
I know that the ecu advances and retards the engine, but i'm wondering if the injectors from these cars are different? And if they are, would this cause this type of issue.
Also, the fuels economy is slightly down with the new engine - would it be overfuelling because of the wrong injectors?

All comments are welcome.

Ok, i'll try again.

1.  Are the PB injectors different to the DX (ca.1990) injectors?
