I managed to pull the wire out of the socket on my spark lead and I hate having to buy a new full set @ £12, when the rest are brand new already. Oh, and there isn't a single scrapyard in the whole of central Scotland that has a MK2.
Can someone help a brother out!

Sorry dude, don't have any spares about. But if you do buy the full pack, at least you will have spares for the future!
-
why don't you fix it? it happened to me too on a new set of cables and i fixed it with no problem. just takes a bit of nerves ;)
-
I didn't think it was possible to fix it because the metal bit is crimped and I managed to tear the wire clean out the top. If there's a way to fix it I'd do that - tell me the details...
And I did the same last year, yeah I didn't learn my lesson, and I threw all the spares away, *gutted*.

i just changed my leads & my old ones were fine! If your stuck just holla!

its no biggy. just uncrimp that metal (gently ;) ), put it apart, pull out the socket, push the kable throughout the hole where it was, reconnect the socket on the wire (you'll have to peel a bit of wire cca 1-1.5cm) and with some pliers push the socket in position. don't pull the wire again! :D then just put that metal back on and crimp it back. viola! ;) it won't look as good as it was...

I shall give the repair a bash then...
@ nunny

you can buy individual leads from halfords and other motor factors.
