Title: Phatnoise Hard Disk System
Post by: indublin on 13 December 2007, 10:50
Hi, seasons greetings to you all,
I have seen a Phatnoise system for sale on e-bay and was wondering if anyone here has one fitted to there Golf MkV? I have visited a few sites but had no real feed back. The Phat I am looking at has the DMS missing and so I also wondered if this is going to cause me any problems.

Thanxs for any help.  :undecided:

Hi

The Dms is very important it is the hard disc itself.

I have got o Phatnoise but not in my Mk5 but in my wifes saab running off a kenwood headunit.

I dont think the VW one works on the Mk5 but im not a 100% on that.

If you do buy it i do have a 10gb DMS spare if you wanted to buy it

Cheers

Simon

This is the one for a VW/Audi so I assumed it would fit the Golf. How much do you want for the 10gig DMS?

Hi

It is from a Kenwood and ive just had a look on it and it says Kenwood on the back so im not sure if there interchangable.

I would want about £30 for the cartridge. Just a thought you need to make sure it comes with the desktop cradle otherwise you wont be able to download onto the DMS

Cheers

It has everything except the DMS, which has an opperating system on the hard disk. I have read also that the DMS's are all the same but I need to check if there is a difference in the software on the disk.

I will be in touch.

P.S. Are you in the UK?
