k03s is straight bolt on to achieve 240bhp u will need a few mods .... k04 u will need alot parts to be changed like ,manifold ,coolant&oil lines , downpipe etc etc ... in my opinion is not worth to do the k04 change .

When you say a few mods for the K03S, obviously a remap. Down pipe and exhaust?. What else? FMI i would think??

theres not much difference between the ko3s and a ko3 i would just go for the ko4.down pipe for the ko3 and s are the same so need to change it. i got the ko3s from a 180 tt not tryed it yet in me golf as its in a mk3 and i still need the ecu to get it all up and running

the difference between k03 and ko3s is the k03s hold the boost and power longer up the revs ...

for k03s you need to either mod your turbo inlet pipe.. get it machined out by a few mm (i have my old one already modded if you want to make an offer  ) or use a silicone one like i did eventually.. 4 bar FPR and a suitable remap. exhaust/cat/dpipe really help a lot too.
not really an earth-shattering difference.. i only did it because my k03 died and i got a really good deal on a brand new k03s.
im sure this info is already on here in great detail if you use the search
