The carbonio intake is a great application for the GTI, it fits really well and gives some good results, have a look at them on awesome gti's website.

I can vouch for the Carbonio. Gives a really nice sound, combined with the Milltek sounds even better. It will give you some more power but will only be noticable with a less restrictive exhaust.

Carbonio Intake 2.0T FSI
The Carbonio system is designed to maximize the torque produced by your engine. The natural extension of increased torque is an increase in horsepower (hp). While the hp gain is nice, this system's tuned shape will give you that increased hp for a longer period of time, thereby allowing you to make better use of each and every gear. This is a consequence of an increase in torque for over 10% of the rev range; torque comes in sooner and tails off later. Compared to the stock intake, our kit shows increased flow numbers of around 40-50%.

For now I own a Lexus IS250 which I love but I am selling. I will be taking over my moms GTI and I am making plans for it.
Here are some pics of the Lex http://www.clublexus.com/forums/showthread.php?t=317043 (http://www.clublexus.com/forums/showthread.php?t=317043) and pics of the GTI will come in the week, have to wash and wax it.

Thats a very shiny car. I like the new IS, although your mum has good taste in cars. Was you not tempted by the new IS-F?

I love Lexus, have owned 2 now. The IS-F is just not a car I can afford and not yet available. I have to sell the Lexus cuz I am tired working my ass off for a car. Since My parents are getting them selves the new LS460 I will be buying the GTI from them. As you can see on the Lexus pics I am crazy about detailing my car. The GTI is not in good shape but I will fix that( You know women and detailing )

About the intake, how mean does it sound. Does it come with a sportfilter or what?
-
It has a very nice induction roar, with the windows down it and from the outside it sounds like you're going to hoover up small animals  People certainly look round. And it does come with a new panel filter also
