Conensation and dirt in headlamps glass.
Can they be removed to wipe clean? If so how?
-
i don't think you can seperate the glass but if you take the light out you can fill it with detergent and water and clean them that way then rinse out and evaporate whats left with a hairdryer or on the radiator.
-
i think you can seperate the glass but you have to get the glue hot enough to be able to pull them apart then you need some serious adhesive to stick them back on again
-
Once cleaned, leave off the rubber cap from the back. It will stop the condensation.
-
The whole point of the rubber cap is to seal it and stop the conedensation, stop the moisture getting in..??
When you swil them try using filtered water or soemthing to that effect.. Stops it leaving water marks, I used my mums Brita jug to swill mine after cleaning
-
How do you remove them from the grill or can you not?
-
are you asking can you remove the lights from the grill? if so then the lights arent actaully attached to the grill, they are attached to the slam pannel. you just remove the grill and then its 4 8mm screw head bolts holding the lights on
-
What the ajusting ones?
If so how do you set them back?
-
the headlight is on a small frame, and the 4 bolt/screws hold the frame, which is attached to the light. it all comes off in one lump
-
Cool i will give it a go what should i use to clean them is normal widow clean with a bit of water good?
-
i have no idea to be honset mate
-
Simple one this, remove headlamps from car, remove bulbs, and retaining clip, place lens upwards in dishwasher, lights will come out spotless, and dry!

Will the above suggestion work if I have a manual, boyfriend-powered dishwasher?
-
no
-
Only if he's closet gay
-
nope, just well-trained
-
Used hot water and washing up liquid in mine, ainsley's right, fairy really does a good job of loosening the grime! make sure you dry them out well though.
-
Do they have to be re-aligned after?
-
not if you take the subframes they're mounted on with them - but it's actually easier that way.
