just got renewal on my mk2 gti 8v 1991 for a ridiculous Ã‚£565

See this thread, it should contain what you are looking for: http://www.golfgtiforum.co.uk/index.php?topic=29360.0 (although these threads are pretty useless in my opinion as there are too many other factors so even if you have the same car as a mate, live in roughly the same area and are the same age often the quotes can still doffer hugely due to things like annual mileage, car value, occupation, driver history etc etc).

depends where in essex, some parts are very low, some obviosly very high. I live in Essex too and dont find it too bad.... :smiley:
