Hi All,
I had the cam-belt changed on my Mk4 Golf GTI today at a VW dealership, as I was driving home I noticed a new noise when I press the accelerator down. It only happens for a second or two when I first press the accelerator down then goes away. It doesn't happen when its out of gear or with the clutch engaged.
Could the belt be too tight or too loose?? any ideas? I am going to go back to the dealership but as I am not too savie on engines they could feed me any old bullsh*t! :embarassed:
Cheers

Well get back to them and see what thay say. Could be a loose plastic cover or a new fault a, Im sure thay wouldnt have fitted it wrong tbh.

Picked it back-up from the dealership, noise has gone, they said they had to adjust / lubricate the tensioner as apparently it was too tight!?
Thanks
