its easy to rig up but bit of a pain gettin the pipe throw to the engine bay, i removed the wipers and scuttle pannel and threaded the pipe throw the bonnet realse cable grommet but i had to cut the grommet, so i put loads silicone round it to stop it leakin.

to get the scuttle off you have to remove the wipers theres a 13mm nut under the caps at the bottom of the wipers. then you got to remove the wipers from the motor it best to get some grip under the wiper arm and on to the thread that the nut was on, mine were real seized on. then remove the rubber at the front of the scuttle this will just pull off. then from the edge of the window get a flat blade screw driver and unclip the scuttle from the bottom of the windscreen then you should be able to pull it off. i think there are 2 scews to undo as well but not sure.

iv got a revo gauge http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=330191970523&ssPageName=STRK:MESO:IT&ih=014 (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=330191970523&ssPageName=STRK:MESO:IT&ih=014)

and its on a pillar mount

i fitted one at the weekend, took about 4 hours,i took the trim off where the boost gauge pod fits too, and drilled a hole just big enough to get the pipe through at the top of the bulk head, it comes out right at the back where the washers are so all good! i got an auto gauge one with smoked screen so goes dark when engine is not running, it realy looks good, (if i do say so myself).

Get Psi its alot more accurate as mk4's dont run a huge amount of boost so bar wouldnt be as accurate!

If im honest im not sure about connection but I think what you said is right mate, get a second opinon on that.

The ARZ engines are the same as the AGU but it uses a DBW instead. It runs a KO3 turbo, comes as 150 bhp standard and doesnt have vvt like the later 1.8t engines; AUM and alike. Hope this helps
