Title: mk2 backbox
Post by: jammac on 05 December 2007, 09:40
i know you can fit a mk2 16v backbox with a mk2 8v with no probs. and vice versa

so........ will a mk3 16v backbox fit on a mk2 8v system without having to modify?

cheers all

I think the hangers are in different places and the pipes different lengths.

ER..... i always thought the pipe bores were different too, so you would need a tapered sleeve to get the boxes to fit when swapping them from 8v to 16v or vice versa.

It can when all of the other engine internals are the same.
