I have a new Edition 30 and I also have a 3year old, now bless him he doesn't understand that standing on the new part leather seats in his wet shoes is frowned upon, now his older cousin who the wife picks up from nursery sometimes thinks its ok to do the same to get into his booster seat.In my day it was clip round the ear but i believe you get the jail for that now.Is there some sort of cover i can get for the rear seat base to protect it from wet muddy kids shoes and also to help protect the seat from the mark of the kids seat too??
all to protect my pride and joy, but to cover up those nice seats is a crime, but with impending no2 round the corner (jan10th) i will have 2 car seats aggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! I mean i used to walk 40mins to my school.

Hi K3ith,
Someone else asked this awhile ago,and i dont think there is a cover to match the seats, although the guy did get some decent covers from halfrauds and used them when cond were Sh*te.
I have used clear car dealers covers before when required, and kept them in the boot, but most of these are not clear, but opaik, not allowing you to see the seat, and they dont last long!!!!
Chris.

Yeah I got some for my ED30 from Halfords, not the best fit (bit tight around the side bolsters) but they do cover the entire seat including the back, and don't ride up everytime you get in/out the car, they also come with headrest covers but I just left them off so you can still see the leather and GTI logo! They come in plain black with a red stripe down either side - perfect

I have those same ones in my car to preserve the interior.
Forgotten they're even on now tbh

If you are using seat covers you should have the side airbags in the seats de-activated. :nerd:

I think the covers we've recommended are airbag friendly mate
I'm 90% sure I remember seeing it on the side of the cover when I fitted them
I can go look if needs be?

I didn't know you could get "airbag friendly" seat covers :undecided:

I'm sure it said it on mine :undecided:
I shall have a look tomorrow

checked mine this morning, definately airbag friendly, elastic pieces hold together the material down the sides which I assume just come away if the airbag is deployed!
