Title: Bosch Metering Head

Help!

Does anyone know what the numbers represent on the side of the metering head.  I'm try to source a replacement, and I was wondering if the numbers are important and need to match, or whether just some of the numbers need to match.

Any help would be greatly recieved.

If its for a k jet, I think that any will do. Whats wrong with yours?.

Not entirely sure what the problem is.  When the car is cold it idles fine, accelerates fine, but when the car is warm, the idle is a bit rough and below 1800 revs it runs rough, as though the engine is being starved of fuel.  Once the engine gets above 1800 revs, it runs fine.  I've had it to a diagnostics specialist, who has checked it over, and can't find anything wrong.  Plugs and dizzy are fine, compression is fine.  The only thing he didn't have was the equipment to check the fuel system.  He suggests trying a secondhand metering head.

So, I am currently replacing the fuel system bit by bit.  I have renewed the fuel filter (cheapest bit first).  I have my eye on a couple of metering heads on ebay, so I'll try that next.  Then its the warm up regulator, but as they are quite expensive, that'll be the last option.

Have you, or anyone else, go any ideas to curing the problem.

hadthis problema while back and spent loads of money trying to sort it out- still could not cure the problem- however when i sold the car it rectified itself ??? was well fuming when the lad i sold it ot told mew it just cleared up itself.

check the hall sender unit though as these tend to fail when warm.(sometimes)

Sounds like you have a vacuum (air) leak, check all the rubber pipes and small vac hoses. If the fuel dist was faulty, the problem will be there when it's cold also. When the engine is cold the extra (choke) fuel is hiding the fault.

I'm with Steve too..........thoroughly check for vaccuum leaks as it does sound like you are drawing in unmetered air, hence the feel of lack of fuel.

They can be a pig to find sometimes >:(

Here's a problem I had on mine that took ages to find because it thought it was meant to be like that ::) Its to do with that 'Y' shaped hose assembly over the top of the rocker cover:-
