Post by: faisalgti on 03 December 2007, 02:35
Anyone got any ideas how we can maybe imrove the speed in our motors a little?? Neuspeed P-FLOâ„¢ Induction Kit and K&N 57i Induction Kit are 2 induction kits i have come across. Has anyone used them?

Also the thread is just for anything 2.0 related so feel free to tell us about problems or improvments you have on your car

Lets start of with if you buy a mk 4 gti your not buying it for speed but to enjoy.  So no point in trying to make it go faster.

Instead save the money up and buy a MK2 GTI for weekend fun

You will probably get about 125bhp with a good filter and exhaust system. Hardly a noticeable increase.

Only other option is to supercharge it, but it just begs the begs the question of why !? For the cost of sticking on a supercharger (3- 5k) you can just buy a 1.8T and remap it and it will be hell of a lot faster.
