Title: Lock up garage
Post by: mattneck(Beavis) on 02 December 2007, 14:39
anybody know what would happen to my price.. if my car was stored in a lockup garage in a small complex of aorund 12 of them, which is behind locked split top fencing/gates.. out of view of the road.

I've added extra security to the garage door in the form of massive locks which stop it being possible to peel the door open from the corners, and my cars got steeringlock/alarm on inside of the garage.. will this help my price in any noticable way if i stored the car there?

Depends who you insure it with, when I started keeping my car in a rank of 12 garages that are off the road my insurance didnt go down by a f*cking penny, all they wanted to know was the post code of the garage to check it wasnt in a higher risk area. It is nice not haveing to scrape the ice off your car when its cold and it gives me some where to keep all the bits I've bought and never got round to fitting

Some people give discounts, others wont, im sure some will charge you more becuase you can afford a garage! lol.

Its just dependant on the insurer!
