Title: HEATED REAR WINDOW ELEMENT?
Post by: CHRIS_MC on 30 November 2007, 19:42
Is anyone else's absoloutely cack.........? short of stopping in the middle of the road (or ideally before i set about my journery) to pop the boot, get out and wipe it with my arm, rather than wait for it to work.......

anyone?

just wondered, if perhaps some of the element has burnt out? and it now only half works.......bah humbug

Nope, mine works fine. Turn it on when I get in and by the time i'm out my works car park my back window is  pretty much clear. The rest of my heating works great too and really quick :)

Next time it's all cold and miserable out, test it too see if it works and how fast and you can check how many elements work.

This is on my job list too.  If you've got some lines working but not others (as with mine) its prob splits in the element. Apparently you can fix this by painting it with silver circuit paint to "rejoin" the broken bits on the element:

Looked at mine this morning and on either side of the window there is two lil plugs, one of mine had come off. Maybe worth a look? Not sure if its fixed it as its not clouded up this morn

Sweet, good thing you found that plug unplugged, saved yourself a bit of hassle and cash.
