I bought a new passenger door handle with lock from a trader at Stonor Park last year and it was crap! It was made out of really cheap plastic and the actual locking mechanism itself did not feel like it was going to last long. I used it for about 2 days and then changed it for a decent 2nd hand one. If i were you i'd wait for a 2nd hand set.

IMO for £18.99 what do ya expect it gotta be of poor quality

keep yr eyes peels in yr local scrappy! Most VWs of a simiar age will have suitable locks. Even if the petrol cap/boot locks are different to your old ones, you can strip em down and swap the lock fingers into your old ones to get em all on one key. Other option is to buy yourself a remote central locking kit, then delock both front doors!
