Title: decent oil?

looking at changing the oil in my gt-tdi, the 130 and just wondering if the castrol magnatex is as good as it says it is?

and is the 10W-40 is the right stuff or do i need different numbers, someone explained to me what they all were but it was a while ago and i'm now useless with oils again

i'm using castrol edge turbo diesel in mine

5W/40 505.01 approved for PD engines
