If you read the E-Bay ad it says
"car has no bumpers as i was planning on welding in a mk1 front panel, just a crash bar on the back. i still have the 2 bumpers and crash bars for it so could be put on if needed"

Which means, it's not meant to look like that, he just cba to put them back on... really silly if he wants to sell it!

would look okies if some time was spent smoothing and genrally smartening it up, especially the rear-end...

the front would need some sort of panel putting in that wide open space, its just too open for my liking, unless you had a really shiny rad or something...

alot of welding and some new panels etc and it could look good, but liek that, im not a major fan. too much hard work when you can just buy a mk1 and it will look mint without bumpers!

what on earth is that about? lol   thats like taking the boobys off a lady!

To pass an MOT the car MUST have bumpers,  If after market ones are to be fitted they must have the same effect as the OEM Unit and provide the same protection.  So im not sure if they would like it much.

to be fair mine went in for its test with the bumper hanging off... so if that passed then no bumper shouldnt be a problem lol...

Me: ''whats that knocking noise? and how much to fix it?''
Mechanic: ''look, it'll cost you alot to find out what that noise is, more than it would for a new engine, me to fit it and set it up, so dont worry about the noise, run the car til it blows up, then come back and i'll tell you what it was and fit a new engine.''
Me:''...sounds fair! thanks!''
