Hello,
wondered if someone could help me on here, have just got a cd player for my golf, but need to pull the cubbie hole above the tape deck out for cd,
How do u get this out, are there somesort of lugs holdin it in, any help appreciated, dont wanna be rippin my dash apart tryin to sort it out.

It's only clipped in - easiest way to get it out is to open the flap on your drinks holder (assuming you have one :-[) but leave the mechanism in. You can then grip the top edge of the cubby box to pull on it. It may also be slightly easier if you release/remove the head unit as I think there is a flange on the bottom of the cubby box than is trapped behind the fascia of the head unit.

Cheers mate, It does have a drinks holder, it has beige leather, it has a gti badge, but no cd player :o cant belive vw still had the cheek to make a car like that and include no cd player as standard/
Was hopein it kinda pulled out but dint wana tug on it and brake somethin.
