Title: MK3 springs on MK2
Post by: Philpy on 29 November 2007, 10:03
Do they fit or not? Someone said they do, but someone else said: late 1994 onwards the top of the front springs are larger than earlier models?

also all GTIs got the chunkier spring setup.  Both spring setups do fit a MK2, but only if you get all the matching top mounts etc for the springs.  A std set of MK3 springs isnt going to be quite right for a MK2 cos the MK3 is heavier!  The shocks could be used, or coilovers.

Well I have a set of mk2 8v gti springs on the back of my mk3 diesel... so the backs are pretty much identical. Fronts are a little more complicated...
