Wet leaves + Lamp post by any chance? Gutted for you mate, all to common at this time of year. People forget the roads get a bit greasey after a summer of dry running. I've had a couple of near misses myself lately.

yeah.well gutted.it not that bad though. only needs slam panel, red bit under the bumper, grille, bumper, bonnet and maybe radiator.
-
gutted for you mate!
must of been going at quite some pace to cause that
-
Don't feel to bad mate.
I had a front ender last year, needed new n/s wing, rad, bumper(big), grill, both headlamps, all the slam panels
and it didn't cost to much for parts and labour,
However the paint cost a fortune(Helios blue) VW know how to charge for it.
Ask around for quotes, mine was about £1100 all in.
Good luck.

Crap that sucks mate, look at it this way....the only way is up now and you will end up with a sparkling new front by the end of the tunnel!
-
i shouldnt worry too much mate, could have been worse, could have lost it and the pole hit the side of the car. would have done in the door, side skirts, maybe even the roof.
i lost grip on a bend the other week. hit the kerb at about 30ish and did some damage, bent wishbone (was like a banana), bent stub axle, broken alloy and shattered CV joint. i think i may have done some other damage but have checked out the whole of the suspension on that corner and all seems to be alight, guess i will find out in a week or so when i get my MOT done

Still waitin for the tw@ who hit me to admit it was his fault.
Still it was for sale @4000 and i got paid out £5500
just need my insurance to drop then my MK2 is hopefully gettin turbo power
Oh yeah, no-one was passenger,
I did drive it home though on 2 flats and pullin slightly to the left  Think trackin was out
-
What the fook hit you. Was it someone on a motorbike? It's a bloody weird shape of damage to be a car!
-
a Daewoo matiz of all things,
He was sat at a junction for he says 15 seconds where you can see straight where i've come from, Pulled out after i'd gone past cos if you look at picture the rear passenger wheel is twisted a bit then you can see scuff marks on rear bumper( i also checked his car out and there is my paint on last half of his number plate on passanger side bumper ) that put me in to a spin, tried to catch it cos there was a big industrial unit but it snapped other way because tyre had popped went up kerb and into a lamp post,
he's contestin it because he says i was speedin but even copper who came to scene says it's his fault cos he's hit my back end.
So my no claims is f****d because of a spotty 18 year old who drives a granny mobile and wont admit he can't drive because i am an incredible driver
-
oops!
-
ah well, SH1T happens, i got my golf out of it so can't be too upset otherwise i wouldn't have had the pleasure of the valver i bought, Was gutted when insurance was up for renewal though went from 550 fully comp to 800 third party
-
what a cock of course it was his fault unless your car can drive sideways?
-
it did after it happened
