as the dash in my mk1 rattles so bad and is a bit tatty i wondered if anyone had any ideas for what dash i could get in without too much trouble, i wondered about a mk3 dash, but not entirely sure and i would like to keep my vdo gauges (even though they dont work ::)) hoping to do it over easter weekend so any ideas would be gratefully recived ;D

I think you'd have a lot of hard work to get a mk3 dash into a mk1. it's a tight fit in a mk2 let alone in a mk1. Could always try though. I've seen mk2 dashs in mk1's and the corrado one doesn't look out of place.

i just figured a mk3 is easier to find, any idea on sites on building your own dash, like tvr is doing in his?

There was an article a few months back about a guy in Holland, who, for 1500 Euros, will install a TT dash into the car. You take the motor over, and in two weeks you go back and collect it, with the new dash installed.
A bit pricey (?1000) but a proffessional install after all.

^^^^^ and it looks the t*ts ;D

mk4 polo dash maybe?

i am so not paying a 1000 a 2 week trip in holland sounds fun though ;D

mk4 polo is easier in a mk1 golf. so I've heard.
