do i have to take the dashboard out to change the speakers or is there another way???
also what size are the speakers in the dash???
thanks

What car have you got?
-
golf MK3 1.8 SE, i think you can just take the mesh things out but i aint sure
-
i took them out fine when i broke my mk3, mesh is just clipped in, comes out with a little persuasion, an if i remember correctly its just one screw holding the speaker/tweeter in (maybe 2?). no need to remove the windscreen.
more difficult fitting a replacement if your fitting something different an need to modify it at all, but can be done.

no screws at all! they need twisting with a lot of force.

hmm strange.....mine had screws? an came out fine without force....mine were tweeters, don't suppose the mk3 had some models with speakers on the dash that had different fitment did they?
anyway your prepared for both now

na, mine were tweeter pods too, no screws just a hefty twist in one direction and they popped out, anti clockwise I think.
