Title: What are the odds?

On the way home from work tonight I drove through the sleepy village of Atworth (Wilts) and coming the other way was a new black Polo GTI (dont see many of those, so gave them a wave), 2 cars later, a black lupo GTI!  See even less of those!

Gave them a wave to :grin:

Bit sad I know but 3 different GTIs, all black, at the same time in a village the size of a postage stamp, whats the odds? :laugh:

that is a bit sad lol but it looks like it perked your day up. my girlfriend has a real thing for lupo gti's, are they any good?

Good motors, fast as ****, but pretty rare so you may end up paying top dollar for one.

I've had one (in the fastest colour) and can say that they are great little motors. 125bhp in a 1.6 16v engine and only 930kg to lug about. Lovely and revvy and I had the 5 speed version which I liked better than the 6 speed version. They even made the effort to have the front wings made of aluminium to save weight and distribute the weight better. :cool:

Very good motors and look cute, but they aren't that fast... my wife's Lupo GTI feels slower than the Mk2 16v I had... they are about as fast as the Mk2 GTI 8v I'd say.  :undecided:

I prefer the Lupo to the Polo - I find that the Lupo is more more of an 'honest' small car and the Polo is neither small nor medium sized. Lupo GTI = More fun.

Yup, but I've also had one in the  :sick: colour (Lupo green)

Any one ever had a go at the Beetle RS i think?? I remember it being in Gran Turismo and was like...incredible xD

Same engine, power and 4Wdrive as the MKIVR32 isn't it? Although It has suspension mods.
