where on the case is the engine number, 90 16v.

im tryin to find the same thin for a 88 8v GTi no luck as yet

alright ash,

on my 8 valve teh engine number is on the block just behind the distributor.

i woould assume that on the 16 valver it will be around the same area ( check above the oil filter a bit towards the right)??
