Title: DV Advice please.

hey all,

Been a wee while since i got a remap and its still going great, im thinking its time i changed somthing else, im thinking about changing my DV, Forge seem the order of the day, has anyone else have revo remap and DV's if so what ones, links would be great thanks

i was lookin at tis today i ask some 1 in a garage they told me that vw told them that u have to take the engine out i think they were havin a laugh dont u

i just had a look at your link, ace mate thank you, on it there is a link to fitting, its a piece of piss, cover, 3 clips and then refitting with new hose clips.... easy. just ordered the black one cheers buddy. :laugh:

yer thay told my m8 with an ani model he had to take engine out to change th dv after i done a little lookin round i found a good little guide and like u said its a peice of cake god knows wat they were on about

I do like the hks valves, but then again you got the problem with the air circulation!

Its all about the forge splitR valve  :cool:

Just a thought mate you might want to get some silicone hose for the vacuum pipe on top of the dv.When you remove the old stuff im sure you will find that it has gone brittle from years of being heated and cooled under the bonnet. Think mine cost me about £4 for 4m IIRC.  :wink:

I have heard that the silicone hose kits off ebay (zen racing) are quite good, know a few people that are using them - half the price of samco's and identical apparently

thanks guys for your wee hint there, i will get some before the weekend as it should be here on tuesday, thats an awsome hint nothin worse than standing with broken hoses thinking now where the fook do i get this from on a sat afternoon with no car as ive got broken bits in my hand lol,

Do not buy an APR R1 DV.

I had one for a few weeks but it broke causing my engine light to come on.

Sent it back and bought a Forge Splitter R instead. Great DV.

Little on the pricey side is my only gripe.

thanks mate, ive ordered the forge 0007p with the bent top pipe for easy cover back on abilitys lol. i will let yous all know how i get on, im sure it will be ace, will i notice a difference? i just dont have much faith in the plastic one after my remapping...
