Title: Anyone ever been to Bruntingthorpe?
Post by: TDIfurby on 16 March 2004, 15:06
Hiya all

I'm off for my very first trackday soon, and it's at Bruntingthorpe airfield, Leics. I used to live there but never got the chance to rip around there.  I know about the two mile straight for a bit of top speed / 0-60 playing around but what about the circuit itself?

Any hints and tips gladly applied.  ;D

Thanks

Basically the circuit is the main runway connected to the taxiway by some new tarmac sections. It is very fast and has a flat out left hander and a chicane that tightens. Old tarmac is very abrasive so will muller your tyres if you push too hard. It's good fun if you have a very quick car and perfect for your first trackday as it has loads of run-off. Have fun!
