Rainbow are pretty well regarded in i.c.e. circles.  The "kicks" I believe do exactly what it says on the tin - they deliver more midbass "punch".

cool, ive heard from a few people they are pretty damn good, but is there any point in any more mid bass punch if you got a massive jl sub in the boot

Yes, because midbass is in the 100 - 250hz frequency range, whereas the sub is usually 100hz or below. :nerd:

go for the rainbows... I have them in my mk3 and they are superb... they'll go as loud as you can take it

they are quite high pitched though so i'd go for ones with the 'kick' in... I don't have a sub fitted yet but when I do then things will be evened out a bit...

even so... they are just an awesome speaker

don't go for components in the rear - only the front otherwise you'll end up with a tinny noise in your ear

Rainbows are the best

i have the aluminium ones that are 400 quid, they are amazing, i had 5 sets of rainbows i aquired, all sold now, exept mine which im keeping and a set of 5.25 coax which i want 75 quid for..

another manufacturer worth lookin at is Focal, i have some of these too, much better than diamond and as good as Rainbow

and the Focal subs are amazing, got one of those in my car and it rocks!!

These are my Rainbows
