Title: Oil Cooler/intercooler thingy
Post by: peaky83 on 21 November 2007, 09:49
Firstly, excuse my n00bness!
I have a 1991 Golf GTi 8v 1.8, and am aware that the mk2 gti has an oil cooler, I was looking at fitting one of these http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/vw-golf-mk2-gti-oil-cooler-seat-renault-vw_W0QQitemZ270189487744QQihZ017QQcategoryZ9889QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
1. where do i get one from will GSF sell them?,
2. how do i fit it?
and 3. is it worthwhile/what will it do?

Errmmm i would have to ask why?

Unless you are thinking of some pretty hardcore mods to your car this will do very little.

What it will do is cool your oil better however as standard your current cooler cools the oil fine i don't see the point. Certainly no performance improvement.
