Title: Webber carb conversion - 32 34 DMTL
Post by: Grazer on 21 November 2007, 01:21
Have the possible offer of a Webber 32 34 DMTL carb which came from a 1.8 driver.
Would this fit straight onto my 1.6 Driver without causing problems.

May be a straight forward answer but just thought I'd ask first.

Cheers

looking at the docs i got with my car on the webber carb it has on it, it says 32 34 DMTL on te top of one of the sheets so i think it would be alright

I would get a second opinion though as im not 100% on it.

Good luck

Yes the same weber carb is used on both the 1.6 & 1.8, it might need some re-jetting though to run properly. I'm pretty sure all the jets are accessible on the top of webers so there wouldn't be any stripping required. You'd just need to know what number jets to buy.

Speak to the guys here:

http://www.webcon.co.uk/

They'll be able to supply the correct jets.
