Title: weird buzzing noise from steering column

like a bee makes the noise when slowing downn or in neutral never on acceleration it's starting to realy annoy me!

any ideas welcome!

no its from the steering column area probably something stupid. its nothing like a wheel bearing or nowt as it does it when im sitting still just idiling. could it be the cable for the rev counter?

i used to have a beetle that started clicking which turned into a buzz as you got faster, and that was a frayed speedo cable.

Yeah, my mates G40 did somthing simlar. Speedo cable. 8)
